St. Paul's Women of the ELCA
Three groups of women meet monthly for Bible Study, support and fellowship from September through May. 
Elizabeth Circle meets the 3rd Monday at 1:30 p.m.
Mary-Martha Circle meets the 3rd Wed. at 1:15 p.m.
Phoebe Circle meets the 4th Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.

Men's Prayer and Support Group
Meets Wednesday noons from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m. to do brief devotions, share prayer issues, needs, and support.

Caring Hands serve at funeral luncheons
Assist at funeral luncheons in:

  • Set-up
  • Serving 
  • Cleanup

Quilters
Meet every Tuesday morning  September through May to sew quilts for Lutheran World Relief and various local needs.

Serve at Fellowship events
Assist with fellowship events in:

  • Set-up
  • Serving 
  • Cleanup 

Coffee Hour

Decoration for Fellowship Events

Short-term office projects
Assist parish secretary/administrative assistant with special projects i.e. congregational booklet, annual report, etc.

Drive for Meals on Wheels
St. Paul's staffs 1 month per year.

Assist members with transportation
To medical appointments (i.e. chemo therapy) or other health care appointments.

Prayer Chain participant
Pray for people and/or situations when contacted by pastors, other cong. members, or other prayer chain members.   After contact and prayer, call the next person on the prayer chain to continue prayer links.

Small Group Ministry
Participate in a group of people for the purpose of Bible study, mutual support, and prayer.

New Member Mentor
Meet and associate with a new member (or family) by assisting them before, during and for 6 months after they become members of St. Paul's to help them assimilate into the congregational family.

TELECARE Caller
Make telephone contacts with an assigned group of congregational members for the purpose of keeping in touch, learning if there are concerns, and being a sounding board.

Typist
Do miscellaneous typing for parish secretary.   Availability of word processor helpful.

Yard work and maintenance
Work alone or together with others to rake the lawn, clean up outside, etc. in the spring and fall and as needed.

Maintain flowerbeds
Plant, weed, water and care for flowerbeds as needed.

Snow shoveling
Clear entries, sidewalk and steps immediately following each snowfall and after snowplow goes through parking lot (refers to back entrance and steps leading into street).

Distribute posters and literature.
Visit local businesses, motels, etc. to leave posters and flyers to inform about worship services and special events to be held at St. Paul's.

Adult Bible Study
Lead/Teach/Attend Sunday morning Adult Bible Study

Church Library Assistant
Help the librarian organize and maintain the church libraries.

Visit hospital patients 

Visit nursing home residents 

Visit shut-ins (homebound) - Communion Couriers
Take Communion to a shut-in or nursing home resident. 

Deliver sermon audio/video tapes to a shut-in or nursing home resident.

Provide a ride for an elderly congregation member
Transportation to worship service.

Book Club
Discuss a pre-selected book.
First Mondays @ 1:30 p.m.

Assist with the homeless

Church Historian

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) Childcare Volunteer
Provide childcare for the MOPPETS program. MOPS occurs the 1st and 3rd Thursdays from September to May, 9-11am. For more information, please see the MOPS page.
